A lot of brides are concerned with whether or not they want a first look with their groom, but a first look that is often overlooked on the wedding day is the one with your daddy. There is something incredible about a father-daughter relationship & it should be specially honored on your wedding day, the day he gives her away!Read More
Oh friends - how could we let this year slip by without a formal thank you? We photographed 16 weddings this year & 4 of them were at your AMAZING brewery! That means one quarter of our wedding photography was spent celebrating with you guys - does it really get any better? (We sure don't think so!) We loved our time with you this past year & wanted to dedicate a WHOLE blog post to you & the 4 couples who brought us back to celebrate in your wonderful space!Read More
Dear Little One,
This is one of my last letters to you before you make your entrance into this world. I can hardly believe it! You have grown so much in the last few weeks - making me more & more ready to meet your sweet face.
Carrying you has been a JOY - more than I could have ever imagined or hoped for. Once you are born, we won't ALWAYS be together. This is so hard for me to imagine! Being with you & feeling you flutter in my tummy is one of the greatest gifts the Lord has ever given me! Thank you for being an active baby. Thank you for letting us play with your feet. Thank you for loving Chick-Fil-A milkshakes - you will fit right in with Papa & I!
I have carried you so many places this year & I have looked forward to cataloging them all so one day - you can see for yourself, you truly are a miracle!Read More
Today we are throwing it back to one of our favorite 2017 summer weddings! Patrick & Ellen were married in right in the heart of Savannah, Georgia at St. John's Cathedral. Surrounded by the hundreds of historical sights, Savannah made the perfect backdrop for the Ebberwein's elegant wedding day.
Ellen & her girls got ready at the historic Mirabelle Suites directly across from St. John's Cathedral. This historic home was renovated in the old world European style, marrying class and charm. The elegant and spacious rooms offered the perfect place for Ellen & her bridesmaids to get ready & relax. Once all was ready, we walked Ellen across the street to St. John's Cathedral where she saw Patrick for the first time, exchanged gifts, & shared their last moments before the ceremony.
Our favorite part about Patrick & Ellen's wedding day? It's actually not any particular moment, but the cumulative joy, emotion, and love which these two had with & for each other, their families, & their friends. We didn't mention it before, but these two have been close friends for well over a decade. Their wedding day was the sweetest climax of this friendship! Their joy was palpable!
A note from the Bride:
My favorite part about working with Rainsford Photography was how encouraging & calming JP & Ryland were the day of. They are very easy going & eager to please everyone. They gently guided photos & easily kept everyone on task. During pictures I noticed my dress wrinkled very easily! This was something I really didn't expect. I honestly don't know if I would have been able to enjoy my wedding as much if it weren't for JP's kind words & calming presence. My other favorite part about working with Rainsford Photography was (of course) the quality of photos. Both my husband & I are extremely happy with the photos. We truly feel the Rainsfords captured the magic of our wedding day!
Patrick & Ellen, we will always look back on your wedding & remember how much you loved your friends & family, your guests, & most of all - one another. It was a joy & honor to stand by your side & capture your beautiful day! We love you both!

The first time we met Josh & Mel, we shared a coffee at a crowded cafe in Chattanooga, TN. We spent the hour talking about everything: wedding planning, families, hopes, fears, & most of all - how the Lord was seamlessly weaving their lives together! We knew right away that this wedding would not only be one that was beautiful, but one that we would cherish for many years to come!
Josh & Mel were married at the beautiful McGuire Millrace Farms in Murphy, NC. This venue is nestled deep in the Blue Ridge Mountains. Complete with cabins for getting ready & a gorgeous outdoor space, McGuire's Millrace is a true gem! We are SO glad the Pipkins found such a perfect spot for their day. As we look back on Josh & Mel's wedding day, one of our favorite moments happened minutes before the ceremony: Josh & his groomsmen prayed in the back room followed by shouts of joy & hugs. Then proudly, Josh's dad led his son to the alter where Josh stood waiting, BEAMING!, to see his bride, Mel. As soon as she rounded the corner, Josh lit up & the whole crowd was lost in their tears & joy as she approached her groom. It was a culmination of everything these two had hoped & prayed for & boy oh boy - to be first hand witnesses was such an honor!Read More
